If you are fresh out of college, or already have some practical experience with SQL and Python or Java, at Aliz you will pick up GCP skills and become a Big Data Engineer in no time.
As a senior, your main task will be creating ETL processes and data warehouses on GCP platforms. You will be using the Google Cloud SDK (Java and/or Python and command line) every day and support our customers' cloud transformation.
If you have strong technical skills as a data engineer and an affinity for people management or are already a software or data architect with hands-on coding experience and you enjoy a balance of coding and client-facing tasks, you will feel right at home at Aliz as a Big Data Architect.

I joined Aliz as a Junior Java Developer back in 2014 after university. My friend had already been working here as an intern and he recommended it to me because he really liked the company. Aliz has a geek-friendly working environment with open-minded people. I can always find someone to grab a coffee with and have an interesting conversation or recharge with a nice VR or flipper party. Eventually, I became the Tech Lead which was also a great new experience in my career. I like that my team is very autonomous. We constantly challenge each other and engage in fruitful technical discussions. We have a strong knowledge-sharing culture and a solution-oriented attitude. We listen to everyone's arguments and always strive to find common ground.

I started my career at Aliz as a Junior Java Developer during my university years in 2011 as I wanted to experience real-world projects as soon as possible. I’ve been here ever since because there was room to grow and new challenges boosting this growth. I always received full support from the company and my colleagues to achieve my goals, such as specializing in big data. I don’t like doing the same thing for long. Different industries and technologies are more motivating for me. As a global company, we meet diverse cultures and people which is very inspiring. Over the years I found friends at Aliz who I can spend time with even outside work doing things like rock climbing, hiking or just having a beer.

We will invite you to a technical interview with our experienced engineers (either online or offline depending on your preference).
It includes technical discovery and live coding tasks to see how you approach specific problems. The length of this interview depends on the seniority you are interested in and ranges from 90 to 150 minutes.
The recruitment process takes 2-3 weeks, and if all goes well, we will arrange an offer discussion to go through all the details.
